Who is Helen Carter?

Helen has been regularly practicing yoga for well over a decade. She feels that yoga is a necessary part of her day and would encourage anyone to give it a try because of its transformative power. She has spent years trying to spread this enthusiasm to her friends and it was a natural progression to turn to teaching! She is now a certified teacher using the REbalance approach.

She loves yoga because she thinks it is a constant journey of discovery that welcomes everyone. She has tried many yoga styles at studios around the country. She has found that Equilibrium offers a unique and authentic healing environment.

Her interests and previous experience are in history and material culture. She likes nothing more than to be surrounded by antique fabric, old books and vintage sewing patterns!

She likes to use the magic of literature and philosophy in her classes. She lives with her family, cats and yorkshire terrier.

What does Helen do at Equilibrium?

Helen teaches beginners courses and REbalance yoga classes.

Fascinating Facts about Helen...

  1. She studied Drama at university before moving on to History and literature.
  2. She is a poet who loves art.
  3. She has been known to design and wear her own yoga clothes!
  4. She practices in a shed, (affectionately nicknamed” The Yoga Shack”)
